Hair Extensions and Your Confidence!

In the modern era, there is no getting away from the fact that the confidence of people is often wrapped up with how they look. This shouldn’t be the case but in the modern era, there are many pressures on people and if people don’t look at their best, they will often not feel at their best. However, there are ways and even shortcuts to look and feel great, which is great news for many people because anything which can be done to help people to be more confident in life has to be a good thing. This is true for both men and women but there is no doubt that anything which can help young feel to feel more confident in themselves and what they can achieve, the better.

Given that looks are so important these days and many women will strongly associate their hair with their looks, it is perfectly understandable that many women are turning to hair extensions to improve their confidence in life. There is a wide range of clip in hair extensions to choose from and one of the best things about this type of product is the fact that there are many affordable hair extensions to choose from. In fact, there are a number of cheap hair extensions that guarantees that every girl can turn heads without having to turn out the contents of her bank account.

The use of hair extensions can be particular effective for women with troublesome hair and women who are experiencing a slight fall-out in their hair. This can happen for a wide number of reasons although it is always best to visit the doctor to ensure that there is nothing serious about the condition that is causing hair to fall out. Sadly stress can be a factor in hair becoming loose or less stable and given the hectic pace of modern life, it is understandable that stress is impacting on the life of many women today.

Get more confidence from the clip in solution

However, the fact that there is a quality solution that can be applied almost immediately will hopefully help to take some of the stress out of the situation for many girls. It is doubly unfortunate to think that stress can cause hair loss because when you lose hair, you will feel under a lot more stress. This can place women into a continual cycle where they just get worse and worse. Using clip in hair extensions can provide a stop to this cycle, allowing girls some breathing space to get back on track.

With great hair extensions in, most girls will get a natural lift and this will hopefully help to play a part in their improvement too. Of course, many girls will just want to be able to turn heads and cause a scene wherever they go and this is exactly what they can do when they have access to the full range of hair clip in extensions.

Find freedom with your hair

The fact that every natural hair colour can be found will allow girls to have great freedom in improving their looks. Whether women want to find extensions that blend in naturally with their hair or they want to find a colour that contrasts and stands out, they have the chance to do so. A great example of this style of hair can be seen in the celebrities who add a small number of extensions to create a whole new look. It doesn’t take much for Katy Perry to grab the attention but when the brunette added a minimal amount of pink and blue hair extensions before appearing at an awards show, she was guaranteed thousands of pages of exposure online that evening and the next day. When even pop stars like Katy Perry are turning to hair extensions to grab attention and get headlines, you know that clip in hair extensions are a great choice for girls everywhere.

The History of Hair Styling Accessories

Today we are going to take you back to your school days. Who remembers history lessons? Learning about changes that have affected our society and different societies around the world. It is not uncommon for switch offs and daydreaming to occur during these lessons but in our lesson today we can garuntee that no one will stich off and start daydreaming about what they are doing later. If only all history lessons were like this! Today we are going to be learning about hair tools and how they have changed our lives for the better! You are now the pupil and we are going to be the teacher! Everyone listening?!

Let's take a look at hair straighteners. Hair straightening is a styling technique  which involves the flattening and straightening of hair in order to give it a smooth and sleek appearance. This process is not permanent and only lasts for a temporary amount of time. The straightened hair will be affected by environmental factors like washing it or getting caught in the rain or humidity. In 1872, Erica Feldman used heated rods to straighten her hair. She would also be willing to straighten the hair of any other brave person who would let her. This changed the lives of women forever when they realised that they did not have to keep mop of hair they were born with.In 1909, Isaac K. Shero patented a hair straightener which was composed of two flat irons that are heated and pressed together. This is the first known "flat iron" to ever be created.Even though this was revolutionary the flat irons that we use today were the baby of Scottish heiress Lady Jennifer Bell Schofield, who refined and combined previous efforts into a hinged, two plated heated iron in 1912. Thank you so much to all of you who have been mentioned. We think you deserve to be in the history books being studied by people all over the world! You single handedly changed the hair world!

From straight hair to curly hair now. and the curling iron. During Egyptian times curly hair was extremely popular and women would wear curly-haired wigs. Upper-class Roman women would also wear their hair in tight curls. They used an early form of a curling iron. This was heated by an oven and then applied to the hair to create a ringlet effect.Obviously over the years curling irons have been perfected and we no longer have to heat them in a fire to get them hot, hot, hot! Hiram Maxim is known to have obtained the first patent for a curling iron in 1866. However, it is Marcel Grateau who is credited for actually inventing the curling iron in 1890. Whoever, came up with this magnificent hair tool needs a big, fat, kiss!

Now for a style that comes in and out of fashion. We are secret fans of this style and wish we had the courage to carry it off on a daily basis! It's crimping! Hair crimping is a method of styling usually straight, long hair so that it becomes wavy. It's like putting zigzags in your hair. Whats not to love about that?! It can also be called krinkles or deep waves. Hair crimping is usually achieved by treating the hair with heat from a hair crimper  or by braiding the hair, often in multiple strands, then undoing the braids. A crimping iron has two heated plates (just like a straightener) and has a repeated s shaped groove. In 1972, the modern crimping iron was invented by Geri Cusenza who was one of the co-founders of Sebastian Professional.
Crimping became extremely popular during the 1980s and became a must have style. In 2007 at a Chanel runway show crimped hair was shown on a model, and it became popular again throughout late 2007 and 2008. Crimpings popularity seems to return in cycles and we are sure (and hoping) it will be back on our heads soon!

After todays lesson we hope you have learnt a little bit about the everyday hair tools that most girls have. Are you ready for your test? Just kidding, it was all just for fun and just as important as some of the other events in history, well almost!

The Evolution of Emma Watson's Look

Emma Watson is a true English rose. We have grown up with her on our screens as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films and feel like we know her as a friend. We have watched her mature into a truly beautiful young woman whom we love and respect as a young actress.

In 2001 she starred in Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone as a fresh faced 11 year old. She was atypical young girl with long locks and pure skin. This was pretty much the style she showcased for all of the following films until Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In this film, all of a sudden, Hermione was an attractive young woman and had left her cute, girly looks behind her. She was wearing makeup, styling her hair differently and young men everywhere began taking notice of this beautiful lady who in real life was Emma Watson. She wore her long, auburn locks in a loose, tousled style that cascaded down her slender frame. The style as young, fun and cute.

After the Harry Potter films she was keen to move away from the clean cut Hermione image and chose to chop all her hair off into a pixie like style. This style accentuated her pureness and drew attention to her flawless face. Only a truly beautiful woman can carry off such a short hairstyle and Emma managed it with ease. It was so lovely that it almost had us reaching for our scissors until we realised our cheek bones aren't as pronounced, our eyes don't pop as much and we don't have cute freckles to add some innocence to the mix. Gutted!

Nowadays, Emma has grown her hair a bit. It is now shoulder length and still has an auburn tint to it. She is 100% a classy lady who always looks well presented. She is a true credit to the british film industry and at just 23 years of age we are sure that Emma Watson will continue to grow and develop as a person and further perfect her image and style!

The Many Different Hairstyles Of Rihanna

On current form, only Beyonce Knowles could challenge Rihanna for the role of Queen of Pop and with a busy summer way for Rihanna, even that challenge is likely to be seen off with the minimum of fuss and effort. The underlying reason for the high level of success that Rihanna has achieved is all down to her songs but she has worked hard in many ways to make sure that she has made a hugely positive impact in many different ways.

One area where Rihanna has always managed to grab attention, focus and headlines is through her many different hairstyles. It is not as if a popstar unveiling a new hairstyle is a modern tactic, it has been one used over the years with great success. However, it is the almost continual reinvention work that Rihanna has carried out on herself that has grabbed most attention and her hairdresser deserves as much credit for her success as many other folk in her entourage. Ever since Rihanna first leapt on to the pop scene back in 2005 she has been grabbing attention with a number of stylish and sometimes controversial hairstyles!

As you would expect, Rihanna was far more modest and conservative with her initial hairstyles, using colours and cuts that were no different from any other girl of her age. However, it was the rate of change, going from a full fringe one day to a bubblegum perm the next day showed that this girl already knew how to use her hair to her best advantage.

Rihanna changed her hairstyle to signify a different sound

It only took eight months for Rihanna to follow up her debut album with the follow-up, A Girl Like Me, and with a slightly more mature sound, she was keen to showcase a slightly more mature look. The high-ponytail and serious quiff look from the MTV Awards press conference was definitely one that marked Rihanna out as a girl that would take risks with her hairstyles and this look was one that was praised by many of the fashion magazines and style gurus.

Rihanna was also creating attention for the fact that she was dating Chris Brown and the couple made a huge impact at the 50th birthday party of LA Reid, a top music producer. Rihanna was sporting a far more relaxed long and waving hairstyle having had hair extensions put in, which was as far removed from her early urban styles as you could imagine.

2007 was the year where Rihanna went for her first major hairstyle reinvention, shocking and pleasing fans at the same time. In came a very short and crop style cut along with a far darker colour through her hair. This was a notable marker to the end of the younger and poppier style Rihanna and the first introduction to the sexier and streetwise version of the singer.

Bolder changes were becoming all the more common

In 2009 and 2010, the quiff was a huge part of the Rihanna look, cropping up in a number of different styles and events. This was the first time when Rihanna started dabbling with shaved hair at the sides, a look which could spark reactions throughout her career. At this point, Rihanna was spending a lot of social time in the company of Katy Perry, with both girls directly and indirectly influencing the look and style of the other. This could be seen in the bold addition of colour for certain looks with the bright red style that Rihanna unveiled for a massive concert at Wembley Stadium again being the sort of look that the singer would return to time and time again in the next few years.

By this point, Rihanna was jumping from style to style, sporting a short pixie crop on one tour to having a full-on bright red afro on the next. By now, the biggest shock or controversy over Rihanna’s hair is when she doesn’t change it significantly but as she showed in 2013 with the shaved on both sides look, Rihanna still has the ability to make the pop world sit up and take notice when she changes her hair style.

Prom Hairstyles and Other Great Tips for Prom!

OMG it's almost Prom time! One of the most important nights of a girls life! The amount of time and preparation that goes into this big event is unbelievable and if you are currently getting ready for Prom chances are it is all you think about and want to talk about! There are so many dilemmas and different things to consider!

1. What colour and style dress are you going to get and where from? You don't want to turn up and have a twin there , unless you are an actual twin because then you can't help this!

2. What are you going to do about shoes, a bag and accessories? Do you go matchy matchy or contrast and colour pop? You don't want to look alone colour so it all blends into one forgettable outfit but at the same time you don't want to colour clash and look like you haven't made an effort!

3. Do you get a professional make up artist or opt to do your own make up? If hiring a make up artist it's best to have a trial so you know you aren't going to look like a clown on prom night! If doing your make up yourself maybe try a few different looks beforehand.

4. Do you get a spray tan or fake tan yourself? You don't want to look like you have been tangoed so be careful, a bronzed glow is all you need!

5. Do you get your nails done? Shellac, acrylic or manicured? Each one is a beautiful look and adds some glamour to your fingers and don't forget those toes!

6. There is one more thing to consider and it's a biggy! In fact it's the one area we do consider ourselves to be experts in and that's the hairstyle you choose.

Do you wear your hair up or down or half up? Do you go curly, straight or wavy? Do you wear hair accessories? Do you do it yourself or get it done by a hairdresser? Ah so many questions! SCREAM!

Calm down, let's try and figure it out together! Depending upon the prom dress you have chosen what hairstyle you will want to go for. Try a few out with the dress to get a true picture of how you will look. Do your research on hairstyles. There are literally thousands out there for you to choose from. In fact you are spoilt for choice. Don't let the length of your hair affect your decision because you can always add Image Hair Extensions to short hair to create natural length and volume. Check out our Prom Pinterest board for some stunning prom hairstyles we loved! If you are going to do your hair yourself practise, practise, practise! Also on the day allow yourself plenty if time to perfect the style. You don't want to be left sweaty, stressful and rushing to get it done on time. Check out our How To board on pinterest for ideas and tips on styling your own hair.

Prom is a fabulous event where all eyes are on you and it is your chance to be a celebrity for the night! Glam up and enjoy, after all you deserve it after all the months of planning that has gone into it!

Great Ideas for Wedding Guest Hair Styles from IMAGE!

It's that time of the year again and the wedding season has begun. Which can only mean three things...

1. Umpteen shopping trips to find that perfect outfit (that no one else will be wearing)
2. Internet browsing and obsessive shopping to find shoes, a bag and not to mention accessories!
3. Hours of endless research into different hairstyles that will compliment your chosen outfit!

Well we can't help you with the first 2 problems, but we can save you time, and energy, because we have done the research for you. We can provide you with many different hairstyles, for no doubt what the bride is calling 'the wedding of the year!' Check out our Pinterest page for styles we are sure you will just love, love, love! Before you rush off though there are a few things to consider.

The first big decision is obviously hair up or hair done. Hair down always looks gorgeous when styled just right. Those of you with shorter hair why not wow guests by adding some Image Hair Extensions to your locks for a natural, fuller, longer look. If you already are blessed with naturally long hair you can use our 100% natural human hair extensions to give volume and thickness. Our remy human hair extensions can be styled using heat, just like natural hair for any style your heart desires. Hair up is a carefree option and we like this. It means you won't be worrying about the weather affecting your style and causing frizzy, wild hair that you constantly have to keep fixing. There are so many different styles to choose from for hair up you will be spoilt for choice. If you have decided to wear a hat to the wedding (a look we adore) you need to think carefully about hat hair. This is definitely not a good look in photos. If you opt for hair down plus a hat, sprinkle some Osis hair dust (it's like magic) onto your roots to put the volume back in after you take your hat off. If you opt for hair up plus a hat, just make sure your hairstyle is not ruined by the hat. You need to try the style, with the hat, before the day of the wedding to avoid any disasters happening which could see you running late and arriving at the same time as the bride, eek! Perhaps a fascinator would be a good look for hair up as it can slot into your hair up style or clip into different parts of the style.

Weddings are long days so don't forget whatever style you choose for your hair has to last for a long time! It's always a good idea to take a small hairspray, comb and some pins with you in your bag just in case you need to do some remodelling during the day/evening!

Another tip would be to try and find out what hairstyles the bride and bridesmaids will be wearing so that you don't choose the same one. Sometimes this is unavoidable and it's not the end of the world as the same hairstyles look different on different people!

Weddings are fabulous occasions where you want to look and feel your best! Remember to check out our Pinterest boards to choose your hairstyle for a day that will be remembered and talked about for years to come, not to mention photographs that will be shown for centuries!

Miley Cyrus is rocking the punk look!

Miley Cyrus is one strong lady who is looking completely fierce lately. She is absolutely rocking the punk look at a 'Punk' themed event she attended. She really owns the crazy punk look and achieves a diverse image that many others her age would not be able to carry off. Miley has spiked her blonde hair using styling products, such as gel and hair spray. She has gone for a messy spiked look and it is quite attention grabbing. We look love her carefree attitude and the way she doesn't give two hoots about what others think or say. If Miley likes it, Miley does it!

Her red lipstick is vibrant, fun, young and playful. It catches your eye immediately and manages to draw your attention away from her freaky hairstyle. Miley chooses to keep her skin tone even and pure which also has the effect of making her lips pop and makes her look quite goth like. Miss Cyrus achieves an edgy look in her floor length shimmery dress. She manages to balance sexiness with class and elegance, well done clever girl! Chunky jewellery adds some detail to the otherwise plain dress and adds another dimension to her punky look.

Miley Cyrus seems to be able to do no wrong in our eyes at the moment. She is being true to herself and her confidence shines through! Nothing is more attractive than a woman who is confident.

Get Selena's stunning tousled hair style!

Selena Gomez is at it again! Flaunting her gorgeous, long, flowing locks right in front of our very eyes. How dare she! Miss Gomez was in a shoot for Adidas recently and her long tousled hair flowed down passed her shoulders. The light caught the different tones of her brown hair adding more depth to the colour especially at the ends. You can easily recreate Selena's hairstyle in this photo by using Image Hair Extensions to achieve length and volume.

Simply clip in the extensions and then style. To achieve a tousled look you could use your straighteners, or big barrel curling tongs, from the midway point of your hair through to the end. Perhaps the easiest way to create the loose curls that Selena is rocking is simply to clip in your real hair extensions and then use a heated roller set to do all the hard work, Then just spray to hold. Go on give it a try, there's nothing to lose and everything to gain, especially if you end up looking as gorgeous as the beautiful Selena Gomez!

Miley Cyrus is rocking her new look well !

OMG! What can we say?! They go on and on and on and on and on etc etc, you get the picture! Yep that's right we are talking about Miley Cyrus and her super long, toned legs. They are to die for, what girl wouldn't want a pair of legs like this?! Her appearance is literally stunning in a tiny pair of denim hot pants and a black satin t-shirt top. Miley's sky scraping platform heels are silver which adds another dimension to the outfit. By opting for a metallic reflective colour it stops her shoes from looking too heavy and clumpy for the outfit.

This girl is one confident, fresh faced twenty year old who oozes glamour and style. Her pixie hair cut compliments her face shape and proves that she is a true beauty. Only a natural beauty can carry off a super short hair cut with ease. Miss Cyrus has opted for a trendy, bold blonde colour on top but contrasts this with a darker colour underneath. Here at Image Hair Extensions we love this look.

She is brave to try and style like this but to be able to rock it the way she does she truly does deserves our envy! Would you be daring enough to go this short? In fairness though, there is always the option of falling back on our real clip in hair extensions if you don't like it and want your long hair back! We wish we had the courage to try this style, who knows maybe one day we will!

The New parlux 385 Hairdryer

Here at IMAGE Hair Extensions we're always on the lookout for the next best hair and beauty product and will regularly blog on the things that we love the most. Our latest favourite in the IMAGE offices is definitely the new hairdryer from the professional parlux range. It is called the Power Light, as it is as you can imagine both very light and extremely powerful - in fact we were shocked at just how light it actually was, and one of the staffers even asked whether it was a sample product without the motor inside it!

The power of the 2150 watt hairdryer literally blows you away, but more importantly than that are the super stylish colours that you can buy it in. Our resident hairdresser bought the hot pink colour which is absolutely gorgeous but I know a lot of the girls were envious of the orange colour, which is perfectly timed for summer. It also has ceramic and ionic technology built in to it so you can rest assured that the Parlux 385 Power Light hairdryer will leave your locks looking sleek, shiny and like you have just stepped out of the salon!

We already know you love our clip in hair extensions, that's a given, but we are always trying to keep ahead of the times and point you in the right direction. We like this Parlux hairdryer as it is kind to your hair, and your human hair extensions, which makes our job easier as healthy hair will make your extensions look even better and much more natural. If we could offer you only one piece of advice, it would be to check out this hairdryer!

Vanessa Hudgens at Coachella 2013

Vanessa Hudgens attended Coachella recently and we adored her style during the festival. The floral dress she chose for the first day was stylish, summery and girly. The dress showed a sexy side to her personality but yet she managed to remain classy. The floor length floral print dress clung to every curve of her svelte figure. Vanessa accessorised with beads which gave the whole outfit a bohemian chic feel. Her hair fell loosely around her shoulders in a carefree tousled style which can be easily recreated using our cheap clip in hair extensions

On the second day of the festival Miss Hudgens wore a frilly bandeau crop top and a matching pair of tiny white shorts. This outfit was fun and fresh. It showed off her perfectly toned and tanned stomach and legs which are the envy of millions of ladies around the world. The young star chose to wear her hair in curls and she added a red and pink flower headband. This headband gave the whole look a very 60's kinda hippy feel which we love! We think Austin Butler (her beau) is one lucky guy!

Did women really used to have more class?

Have we lost our class? Were women of the past more elegant and sophisticated? After being asked this very question ourselves recently, we at Image Hair Extensions have been pondering and debating the answer.

You look at the style icons that spring to mind when you think of the past...Marilyn Monroe, Bridget Bardot, Audrey Hepburn and Rita Hayworth (to name just a few) and what words would you use to describe these ladies? Classy, elegant, sophisticated, respected, beautiful, stunning, attractive are the adjectives we came up with. Each of theses strong, powerful women commanded respect both in and out of their field. Women strived to be like them and men wanted to be with them. They did not seem to be hung up on body image and embraced their beautiful curves and womanly figures. They dressed in clothes that flattered their figures and left much to the imagination. However, does this mean they were classier than women in present day times?

Times have changed and women are now allowed to express themselves more than ever. This often happens through fashion, hair and image. Woman now have access to magazines, the Internet , catalogues, tv and newspapers and we are constantly being bombarded with images that we should want to embrace. Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian and the one and only SATC character Carrie Bradshaw are all women we want to be like but each of these ladies has to dress to impress and stand out from the crowd and therefore has to be daring and dare we say it a little bit provocative. Just because women now show a bit more skin and wear tighter clothes doesn't mean they have lost their class. Surely class comes from within and whether you dress like Kate Middleton, or Nicole Scherzinger, we feel it is how you conduct yourself when in the company of others and not what you are wearing which makes you a strong, sophisticated, classy woman.

Rihanna's skrillex gets voted worst hairstyle of the year!

So Rihanna's 'skrillex' hairstyle has been voted the worst hairstyle of the year but is this a fair label to give one of the most influential females of the last decade? She is known for her style and image, yet, she has still been chosen as the unlucky winner of a terrible award. Here at Image Hair Extensions we have been debating her new award and if it is justified. There is a split of opinions.

The 'yes she deserves it' side. Rihanna is a stunningly beautiful woman but she has opted for long hair on one side and a shaved style on the other. This is unsymmetrical, unusual and we think a bit grungy. It does not follow the pattern she has had over the last few years of trendy hairstyles that we take to the hairdressers to copy. This style is lovely on one side and punky on the other side, a complete contrast that doesn't match. The award is deserved and will hopefully halt her from making another similar mistake. It is one hairstyle we will NOT be copying!

Worst Hairstyle of the year? You decide!
The 'hell no, she doesn't deserve it' side. Rihanna's hairstyle was voted worse than Kelly Osbourne's Mohawk...what.......??? Seriously?! Whilst Rihanna's hairstyle is a bit out there and a bit different we actually like it. Only a truly beautiful woman could pull off a hairstyle like this and she does with ease. The style accentuates her cheekbones and her dark eyes. If you glance quickly at the picture of her it just looks like she has swept her hair to the side. Her confidence shines through and we like that about her. She isn't afraid of trying different things or what people think and that's why girls around the world follow her fashion sense, would you be brave enough to clip in hair extensions and recreate Ri-Ri's style though!? She does not deserve this terrible title, especially when there are so many other hair disasters out there to choose from.

Our arguments have been presented to you in a court of fashion, it's now time for you to decide. Is Rihanna guilty of hair crime or not? Take your time to make a decision but remember once you do decide your decision is final!

which is better - short or long hair ?!

Short hair vs long hair! Mmmmm, which is better, that is the question! Let's start with long hair. There used to be the argument that long hair was better due to how versatile it is, so many different styles and looks can be achieved. If you wanted to, you could have a different image every day of the week. Now that is a huge positive! Short hair used to be a one trip pony, with it being the same style every day. Not much room for change and creating different looks.

However, with the introduction of image clip in hair extensions this is no longer a problem. Short hair is now fabulous and we think possibly more fabulous than long hair! You can have a short style during the day and add your image hair extensions for the evenings events!

The possibilities are endless. Girls can now have short hair without a) worrying about how long it would take to grow it or b) not being able to achieve a certain style because it is long enough. Hair extensions have revolutionised the hair world and are super easy to use.

Get GREAT wedding hair...

Your wedding! It's the biggest day of your life and all eyes are on you, therefore, it is so important to get your hairstyle right. Many brides will spend hours, literally days, researching that perfect style that will add to THE dress! When looking for that hairstyle to take H2B breath away, don't let the length of your hair become an issue.
We have heard girls stressing and worrying about their hair not being long enough, or thick enough, to achieve the look they want. Image hair extensions can make any style possible. Once you have purchased your extensions, it's time to book a hair trial. This is one thing we would strongly recommend so that you are 100% confident you have the right hairstyle for the Big Day.

Make sure you take your image hair extensions to all your hair trials with you so your hairdresser has all the tools they need for your chosen style. Remember our extensions are 100% real remy hair which means they can be dyed to match your hair colour, washed, blow dried, straightened, curled, pinned up, sprayed etc, etc, etc! They are just like real hair! Hopefully girls this will be the only day in your life where you walk down the aisle to meet the man of your dreams, we think its important to feel, and look, like a princess and you can make that happen with image hair extensions.
